Any idea how long should I keep my tax records?

You should keep your tax records for at least 3 years. The IRS can't audit you after this period.

Keep records for 3 years from the date you filed your return or 2 years from the date you paid tax, Keep records for 7 years if you file a claim for a loss.

You should keep your tax records for at least 3 years. Also, keep those records for 7 years if you've filed a claim for a loss.
