When calculating my tax deduction for the current year, which Tax deduction year should I focus to - deduction for 2017 or deduction for 2018?




You have to focus on the deductions for 2017, the previous tax laws.

You need to focus on the deductions for 2017.

For taxes due in 2017, you will use the previous deduction methodology.
But for the taxes of 2018, you will follow the new tables.
