I have 5 payday loans and stopped debit on all of them a couple of weeks ago. Then on of them (US Fast Cash) presented a check (which I did not authorize) to my bank in the amount of $560.00 which I had stop payment and returned. Another one (Cash Transfer Centers) is demanding that I Quick Collect $439.00 to pay a $300 loan or they will contact my employer to have my wages garnished. I know in Indiana that, that can't happen without a court order so that is not too much of a concern to me. What I want to know is if I can find addresses for these places and make small payments to pay off these loans.

Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
