Sorry to ask so much, but the form looks legit. has a clerk of court stamp on it stating a certified copy, the place for a docket number is blank and it has, this is an attempt to collect a debt stuff written along the bottom...no court date...delivered by deputy sheriff.

If delivered by the Sheriff's department, it is no doubt for real. You must file an answer with the court, and send a copy to the collector's attorney. It's mainly a matter of admiting or denying what is in the complaint. First though, I'd contact the attorney and/or collector and tell them that you'll have the funds most likely before the court date.

by reading it i thought i only had to respond to the attorney because it states to serve an answer on the subscriber at their office and give an address that is about 2 hours away. so i have to go to the clerk of court in the county i live in also....ok
