I signed up with Fast Track debt relief a few months ago. So far everything is great. I'm on a 28 month plan and I'll save just over 35% of what I owe. They are a reputable debt settlement company.

Yes, I signed up with them too. I checked out a bunch of different companies before I signed up with them. They by far has the best people, and they are actually a legitimate company. Be careful, as I almost got sucked into a scam. If you want to have a company do the settlements for you, I recommend Fast Track Debt Relief.

Why not do the settlements yourself and save time/money? In this economic climate, I wouldn't trust anyone. What if they don't stay in business? After what I've been through with pdls and the banks, I'm very untrusting.

You make a good point Aubrey. Debt Settlement companies do nothing you can't do on your own. However, they have much more experience and bargaining power than an ordinary person. Also, creditors are very slick and you might think you are agreeing to one thing, but actually are being fooled. If you're going to do it yourself, just make sure you know what you;re doing. Most of these companies charge a fee of 15%. When you look at the amount of money they are able to save you, it's still a pretty good deal of savings with the fee included. Make sure to check with the BBB and TASC before you sign up with any Debt Settlement Company.

To those of you using Fast Track, do you know anything about creditors being able to sue you by going through them? Has anyone encountered that yet or are 100% positive what they can do as far as lawsuits?

I did a lot of research before I chose to go with this company. I was and I still am a little freaked out, but I had to do something to change my situation, so I decided I was going to let them do the work for me instead of trying to do it myself. Yes there are fees and they do seem a little high, but I will still save almost $40,000 even with their fees.
The reason I went with them was because the credit card companies were unwilling to work with me. I lost almost $600 a month in salary, explained the situation, they wanted to put me on a payment program that was $200 higher than my minimum payment. Does that make any sense whatsoever? I will update all of you as time goes on. I am on a 48 month program, but I am hoping to complete it in 36 if possible.
