I want to do debt settlement but am not yet behind. Will be unable to keep up because of medical conditions and not work. Will they still work with me?

Yes, those type of companies will help you if you aren't yet behind. Research all of your options, and look for the lowest fees.

Cindy,

You should talk to your creditors and find out if they will place you on hardship programs which most of them offer. A medical situation is a great hardship to settle accounts. My question to you is if you are not going to be able to work, how are you going to come up with the funds to settle?

Your best bet is talking to your creditors and joining their hardship programs, I????m afraid joining a debt settlement company will place you in a much worse position than you will be if you do not come up with the money to settle your accounts.

Joining a debt settlement company will cost money you cannot afford to lose, in the end you are better off talking directly to your creditors.
