Hello, I'm a resident of Florida. I borrowed from Big Picture Loans, apparently these guys were named Castle Payday loans or along those lines in the past. I borrowed $700 and paid them $700 plus $795 (total $1495). I gave them the e-mail template found on this forum, here's their response:
>> Thank you for your communication. Please be advised that Big Picture Loans, LLC is a Tribal enterprise, wholly owned and operated by the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, a federally-recognized Indian tribe and sovereign government ("Tribe"). Because the Tribe regulates its own consumer financial services pursuant to Tribal law, state licensure and regulation is inapplicable to the Tribe, and, by extension, to Big Picture Loans, LLC.
>> Your request to stop future ACH debit/credit transactions has been processed. As of 12/01/2016 there will not be any further automatic credit and debit entries to your Bank Account being initiated by Big Picture Loans. The current payoff amount for your loan is $911.25 ($236.25 Finance Charge + $675.00 Principal). Please contact us at 1-800-584-4880 to arrange payment of this amount.
>> Please note that your account is current under review.
I suppose I shouldn't contact them by phone. Should I close my account anyway, even if I've revoked ACH? I'm not going to pay them anything more (not that I can afford to right now).
