Received a call from an unknown number saying that she is calling because she needs me to sign legal documents and I need to make myself available between 12-5. I need a valid form of ID and a witness to sign off....and if they come to my place of employment ill need a supervisor or HR representative...If I wish to stop her actions she told me to call 315-292-6679... I googled the number and nothing came up...
They also called my brother and I don't know how or why because I've never given his number out....Im freaking out....any insight? Legit? Should I call?
By signing up a debt counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
