I have 3 internet payday loans and 3 storefront payday loans. I have checked and can find people who can help with the internet loans but was told nobody can help with storefront loans. I was paying 296.00 every two weeks on the largest loan. I defaulted on all of them on Nov 17th. There is noway I can pay the largest loan in one payment.Does anyone know how long it will take them to file charges against me on store front loans. I was told by one couselor that I would be charged with check fraud. I can't afford to loose my job. I live in Texas

You have come to the right place. We can help you here. Please list , who you have loans from, how much you have borrowed, how much you have paid back to each.( add fees and principle to get one total for each)
Also tell us which are store front and which are internet.
In the mean time I will post the laws for your state Texas here (just select your state), dls-laws.html

Since you have already defaulted on your store front loans...the best thing you can do is contact them and try to work out an arrangement with them. Let us know who they are, it's possible someone here has dealt with them and can give you some insight on how they work. Also if you post the info Kash asked for on the internet loans we can see how much you really owe. I am sure we will have some suggestions for you.

MK, Do you still have the contracts for the storefronts? Many times the store fronts in Texas will operate as Credit Service Organizations and the laws above do not apply. Check and see if any of your paperwork has the words Credit Service Organization on them and let us know. You do need to do as Morning said and talk to them.

Most storefronts in Texas are CSO's, so the laws posted above would not apply.

A CSO is a Credit Service Organization. It is a sneaky way for the pdl's to get around the laws by using laws designed to help a consumer with bad credit.

Texas also has criminal penalties for closing an account after taking out a loan if fraud can be proven. Try to make arrangements with the storefronts and try to with the IPDLs and then have your account blocked from the IPDLs or closed. Open a new account and use that one for the storefronts.
