Are there any updates? I was advised to stop paying Cash Call with 6 more payments to go afraid of destroying my credit that I have been working very hard to repair I feel like there is no real guidance for consumers can you advise- I have paid 9600.00 back so far on a 2600.00 loan. Yes stupid I know but had to do it to cover medical bills at the time.
Please advise if you can-

Payday lending is prohibited in NYS. You owe them only the principal balance nothing more than that since your lender is also illegal. Ask them for the refund, since you have already paid them more than the principal balance. Close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account.

Unfortunately in this case the best you can do is just continually dispute it with the credit bureaus. You can try to call the NYS financial services bureau and get them to mail you a letter stating CC is unlicensed in NY, which you can then send to the bureaus. It's a long shot though.

Thank you for the advise I have closed my checking acct and I have filed a formal complaint with the NYS dept of finance - cash call responded with a settlement of 20% interest on the remaining balance - when I figured it out it was exactly what I still owe probably just going to start them again to get this over with- Thank you again

that offer was for the entire balance they say but only 20% interest.you never trust this illegal piece of crap.they lie in courts of law.that is why they are going down, and will say anything to get you to pay again.once they go down any entries on your CR will/should be removed.either reject that offer which is what i would do,or demand a means to pay that doesn't involve debits.yeah say you accept, but will not give an account to debit.i guarantee they just your bank info to bleed it.nothing i have seen or heard gives me reason to even think otherwise.do not trust these criminals at all.
