I have learned over the weekend that the 2 payday loans I have one from plain green the other from discount advances have been issued cease and desist from ny and the site for discount advances is down and pgl ach did not hit my bank as it usually would ..I live in nj and I had already pay 450 of the discount advances loan which was 890...plaingreen I had already paid 2400 towards a 2200 loan ...are these companies done for.I have had multipe loans with both companies with accounts still current. ..being that these loans are both illegal in nj I should be owed a refund ??

You owe a refund ($200) from the Plain Green. If you've borrowed $890 from Discount Advances, then morally you need to pay back that amount only.

I have active loans with discount advances as well as plain green I have had multilpe loans with both companies and currently have paid 450 of 890 towards da and have already paid over 2300 towards a 2200 loan with pg my question is being that both companies are involed with the cease and desist issued by NY the site for da has been shut down and plaingreen payment never went through like usual ...I live in nj which prohibits these types of loans what should I do..?

Yeah...both the lenders are illegal in your state. Moreover payday lending is prohibited in NJ. Don’t pay them an extra penny other than the principal amount. Simply close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account.

I revoked ACH with multiple PDLs but I was still expecting them to try to debit my account. None of them did for about 4 weeks now. I even received email saying payments are being delayed or even request to call and pay with a CC since they couldn't do ACH for the time being.

Examples:

08/09/2013 "Dear Valued Customer,

Unfortunately we are experiencing technical difficulties with our bank and will not be able to process payments for your upcoming due date. The charges due will be pulled from your account early next week. If you would like to pay over the phone using a credit or debit card you may give us a call. Your payment will be processed ASAP please make sure the funds are available." (I revoked their ACH authorization anyways so even if they eventually debit me, I will get a refund...so far nothing has happened)

This is because the ACH clearing house has shut down access to these companies ability to access consumer accounts -- thank you NY Superintendent Lawsky! I would use this opportunity to get a fresh start. They cannot try to collect on these loans either as debt collectors have already been warned they would be prosecuted if they attempted to collect on these illegal loans.

I saw a list of 35 pdl's online that are involved in the NY deal. Does that mean that if you are in another state that their ability to use ACH is affected? What if you are Mississippi. I have a loan with Mobiloans and I got an email that said they were no longer making loans to MS residents. I revoked ACH with them and offered to pay back principal but only get standard email responses that I should call in to resolve my issue. Haven't called and won't but was curious about the ACH thing. If they don't respond to me and accept the repayment of principal I guess I'll just walk away.

Yes -- the national ACH clearing house shut off their access.

I don't doubt you one bit but are you sure??? The national clearing house has stopped them from doing ach in any state? That's great. I know I owe them principal and will pay if they accept but strangely they (Mobiloans) have not responded to any of my emails. I faxed and ach revocation on Monday and then logged into my account and it is flagged "call customer service rep to make payment" Other than that I've had no contact.
