Good morning I have been reading this site for about two weeks and just got up the nerve to write. I have payday loans via the internet, I said it out loud finally, I have paid in fees all that i owe to a few and only owe a minimal amount to the few I still owe but of course they still want more than I owe. Please help me don't know what to do or how to do it. Thank you

welcome to the forum barbie, first we need
some more info.

a)what state are you in?
b)the lenders who borrowed to you
c)how much was borrowed.
d)how much was paid to each total

once that is established we can help you
with this,again welcome. :)

Hello barbi and welcome to the forum! I am going to post the Payday loan laws for South Carolina here (just select your state). Then I will do some research on your loans and let you know which are legal, and which are not. This will help us figure our how you should proceed. Hang tight! :D

Paul is right about BIG, they are highly illegal, so you are done with them, cross them off your list! I am sorry to tell you this but in order to stop these companies from debiting your account you will need to close your bank account. But first read THIS..
I would advise you to open a new account somewhere else BEFORE you close this account, and do not let any of these pdl's know you are closing it until after it is closed and safe.

Sounds like you are on the right track Barbie, I haven't had time to research the other pdl's you have to see if they are licensed. I am at work, and won't be able to until later, perhaps someone else will jump in here and give you a hand. Take good care. :)
