Hi Folks,

We have 4 PDL's out. Like most people we took them out because money is short everywhere. Well, as of today my wifes hours at work have been cut way back and now theres no way we're gonna be able to pay even the minimum on these loans.

We're prepared to close our bank account but from what I've been reading here, these places may not even be legal in Indiana.

Here they are:

Paydaymax 237.24 (103.74)
Paychecktoday 130.00 (paid 185.00)
Discountadvances 293.75 (paid $543.75)
Tendollarpaydayloans 390.00 (paid 270)

can you guys tell me if these companies are legal in Indiana? Can I just tell them to get bent?

Paydaymax is based in Malta making them illegal/unlicensed. I am going to take a stab in the dark and say the other three aren't licensed either. This means all you are morally obligated to pay them back is the principal amount. I doubt if Paydaymax will be agreeable with that, nor will they accept payments, but, if they want the remainder of their money (the principal only), I would tell them it's a money order in payments, or nothing at all. The ball would then be in their court to give you a physical address. I would also report them to the FTC and your Attorney General.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to hear what experiences people have had with these companies. The ACH debits come out as credit protection and MTE Financial.

if I understand all this correctly, we have overpaid 2 of these loans (one form each)?

they only show up on my statement as creditprotection (one one word)-these are discountadvanced.com and paydaymax.com. I think paychecktoday and tendollar are moth MTE?
