I had several payday loans and some are paid off, but there are a few who keep debiting my account even though I have set up other arrangements. I always reverse it when they do this, but there are times when it causes me to overdraft and creates problems.
I am interested in putting some type of ACH block on my bank account, but I have a few questions. First, does this block ALL debits AND credits? We both have direct deposit - would this stop that as well? Or, does it only block ACH debits? Also, would I still be able to use my debit card? Or, is there such a thing as only a block for ACH Debits?

Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
