Everyone has different back-to-school budget. I am wondering what should be an ideal budget so that I don't splutge much while buying stuff for my 10-year old son?

Just, make a list of things that are required for your son and adjust with your current budget. You may need to cut down some less important item to balance. if you mention your earning, then I can suggest a budget.

It's good that you are thinking about back-to-school budget from now on. Include an amount in your monthly budget from now on to save a significant amount by that time.

First of all it's a great idea to teach a 10 year kid about budgeting, so - Hats off!!
As Mabelle said - including a small amount in your monthly budget can do the of luck :)

Why are you thinking about back-to-school budgeting now? Isn't it too early?

The best way to purchase back-to-school items and save a significant amount is to buy the items just after the back-to-school shopping season is over. You'll get some lucrative deals.
