My friend Elena was a victim of online fraud a few years back and she had to repay some money due to debt incurred. Can she ask for a refund of that amount from the bank?

The bank will give her nothing. It's a lost case.

Does she have anything to prove that she was a victim of fraud? Did she take any step that time?

She has to prove the fraud to the bank.

In such cases, the victim has to inform the bank early and create a fraud alert on all accounts.

I am afraid there is nothing she can do right now. It's a lost case. Does she have the proof of the fraud?
