Pressler & Pressler/Arrow Financial sueing for same debt

member profile picture

Why is it that the consumer has to send validation letters. Why can't the courts ask for proof if the company can collect from you in the first place or sue you? WHAT IS THIS?

I don't mind paying my debts but you can't figure out who to pay. I'm being sued by Pressler & Pressler and Arrow Financial for the same debt. Now how can that be?

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Can someone please explain this to me?

I think Pressler & Pressler is an Attorney(s) that represents Arrow, they have a whole slew of them, and must pass the debt from Attorney to Attorney during the course of the law suit. At least that's been my experience.

Ya have to watch every move Arrow makes, they're pretty underhanded, and loves charging illegal/outrageous interest rates. They're also notorious for NOT having and documentation to support thier claims.

I called Citi Bank to see if this account Pressler and Pressler has is real. I can't find this account on my credit report. And when I called Citi Bank they say it was sold to someone else. So I call the number they gave me. This number stated that they sold my account to another person. So I called that number and it is always busy. Is it possible that Pressler and Pressler does not own this account?

Now the third number I called states it is a non-working number. What's the deal here?

That whould work in your favor. If this is on it s 3rd JDB, chain of custody is non-existent. When did you default? When was the last payment? Is SOL still in effect?

But Pressler and Pressler state that they have a judgment against me and are going to garnish my pay check. I'm sending DV letters anyway to all my creditors on my credit reports. Is this a wise move? I dont know when I defaulted. I don't know if this is even mine. I can't find the account anywhere on my reports from citi bank. When I called Citi Bank they said that they do not have any info about this account and transfer me to the JDB all over again.

Hit you county court website or go down to the courthouse and see if there is any record of a judgement.

So if they have a judgment I'm screwed again. I have 3 credit cards that I defaulted on in 2002 and I have about 15 collection agencies asking for payment. This can't be right. Every CA on my credit report I'm reporting to the FTC, BBB and the NJ AG. Well know what to do if anyone else sends anything to my home asking for payment.

They even added stuff to my credit report stating that it started in 2007. I'm sending DV letters to everyone as well as reporting them to the proper authorities. I've learned so much from this site. I wish I had this site in 2005 when all this started. Thanks guys.

If you are referring to the acct opened date, that is irrelevant to reporting period. It reflects when the CA(JDB) got the account. DOFD is the date you want to check and generally you will have to call the CRA's to find out the DOFD as reported by the data furnisher.
