I filed a complaint through in regards to MTE and this is the response I got.
we all know MTE is illegal with no license to lend. My loan was for 300 and I paid 193 back so far. How should I respond back to them.

I've already filed complaints on the Attorney Generals website and the FTC.

OMG! I would tell them to go for it, try to sue me! Well, that's what I would like to say. lol I would probably just reinforce the fact that they are not a licensed lender, therefore making any contract with them null and void, and if they so desire to attempt further action, that is their prerogative. And end it by saying, see ya in court!

I'm wondering if I should keep sending payments to MTE through my debt management program or stop until I hear from a collection agency. A few more payments and the $300 will be paid off.

Well I just sent my second complaint to the BBB in regards to MTE. I asked them to validate that they are liscened to do business in my state and their state. We will see what response they give. I just sent them a second payment through my debt management company and they aren't coming back so I'm assuming they are cashing them.
I paid them $238 so far and my loan was for $300. I told them I am willing to pay the remaining $62 to equal the $300 and then they are getting cut from my consolidation program.

Keep replying to the BBB response that you received. I kept on and on until they finally agreed to mark my account paid in full!

Pink Lady, I think that was the right response to make to the BBB. Since they are not licensed, it will be interesting to see what their answer is!
