I have a judgement on credit report from Arrow Financial. I want to buy a house and need this settled. I called the court and they told me to contact the attorney. They are no longer in business. Arrow Financial's phone number says that they have asked the credit reporting agencies to remove things from them. What do I do to get this off my credit.

Removing the judgment from your credit report doesnt make the judgment go away. You will need to find another number to get thru to arrow to resolve the account.

Contact with the credit reporting agencies and inform them about this matter. Go through this page to know more about Arrow Financial:

I don't need it off, I need it settled. I was prepared to pay them, I have the money to settle it, but it is pretty much impossible if you can't get a hold of them.

There has to be someone out there that has dealt with this!

I currently have a client that is in the exact same boat. We have disputed it with the 3 credit bureaus numerous time with no success. Unfortunately we have gotten no where we even sent a certified letter to arrow financial. requesting a payoff amount and a statement that they would report the account as a satisfied judgement. We received the postcard back over about a month ago that they received and signed for the letter and have still heard nothing.

Call them!!!! They have multiple offices. They will not negotiate thru the mail...get them to verbally agree to a settlement and then have them fax you a settlement agreement,.

You get me a valid phone number that I can actually get a human being on the phone and I would be happy to call them. The only # I can find is 800-279-0224 and it is just a recorded message stating that Arrow Financial has requested that all credit reporting made by Arrow be removed from the credit report and then states if you need to contact them send inquiries via mail.

Judgments are not reported by creditors/debt buyers, rather by court clerks. It is totally out of the hands of the plaintiff until a satisfaction of Judgment is filed with the court. Arrow is no longer in business and liquidated their portfolios (sold them). The attorney of record should know who the current owner is, they should have been notified...in any event, the attorney who filed the suit should be able to help you settle/pay.

The attorney on record is also out of business! I have done the research on that too, the company that took them over went out of business. They didn't sell it, just gone. The court keeps telling me the same thing, to contact the company that has no valid number!
