My ex husband filed chapter 7. He put the debts that were his from the divorce. Now the companies are saying I am liable for them now that he is untouchable because of the chapter 7. Do I have to pay these? They are on my credit report as bad debts but they are his. I live in WI he lives in TX. Thank you for your help. PS When I called the people one my credit report they said they follow the original application and the divorce papers are not valid.
