I have defaulted on a payday loan and I was wondering if the loan was legal to begin with. Florida's maximum loan amount is $500 and I borrowed $900. Of course, this happened before I read articles on this forum. I haven't paid anything so far, but my account is closed. Do I just owe them the $500? Or the $900? Help!

I thank you for your posting, send ACH revoke letter. and waiver wage assignment. they sent be letter stating My account is closed and paid in full. Plan Green is still trying to get their full amount. I borrowed $250.00 and paid 55.44 ever two for 2 months. they still want almost 200.00. They illegal , Please tell your bank you have check fraud. Speak to an officer to get acct number changed,. Do not supply these companies with your new checking acct. number.

Do as soaplady says, they are illegal and cannot do anything to you. FL closed its CSO loophole a few years ago so unless they have a license they are illegal.
