I would love to meet the people like the one above Paul for just one day. God, that would make my life worthwhile, when I take these morons down a peg or two and then maybe they will see reality. If that company was so great and you were such a good little person and paid a bill that you just got scammed out of, then WHAT THE HELL are you doing on this website, loser? This is for people trying to deal with scammers, you fraud.

I was called by them, I simply picked up the phone discussed the bill and resolved it. So many people give collection agency's bad names because they dont want to handle their buisness. For example the person who said "if I see all zero's their is no way I am answering the phone" why? because you owe money to some one? if you didnt default on your agreement they wouldnt be calling you. I had an old ADT bill and I cut the phone line off and thought that was that...but the truth is I signed a contract with ADT for 2 years worth of service and my contract THAT I SIGNED said if I do not cancel it after 2 years it auotmatically keeps going...this is why I had a $1,500 balance with ADT these people were nice enough to offer me a 30% settlement deal so it wasnt that bad...just pay your bills people and quit hiding behind collection laws and stalling asking for letter to be sent to you, you know you owe the debt!!

received call from the appellus company today. The message said important matter, with a recording but when live person answered was abrupt and hung up without telling what the company was or what the matter was about. If they want to collect they need to try some ettiquite on the phone and some respect as well. How can you take a business seriously with that type of ignorant behaviour????

I am also getting calls from this company. They left 1 message about returning a call for an urgent matter. It is about an ADT bill from 2 yrs ago. I cancelled the service when the contract was up as they sold our our info to another company. i found out it was Appelus by looking up the phone number. They call daily now but do not leave a message. I have received nothing in the mail as i requested. So, now what should i/can i do about this?

Sub: #7 I have been getting messages from them on my answering machine. Wed, 05/05/2010 - 13:37

I have been getting messages from them on my answering machine. Can I send them a cease and desist letter if I do not know what they are calling about? Any past due debt I have is very old at this point. I realize I may be responsible for an old debt but if the SOL is about to end, I hate to start it up again by talking to them about the debt. Can you just send a general cease and desist letter?

Sub: #10 Gosh, you mean there is more than ONE person that works there?? Fri, 09/25/2009 - 10:02

Gosh, you mean there is more than ONE person that works there?? I would never have known that, since the only person I ever get is a black man named Nathaniel or Nathan, depending on who he wants to be for the day...but he still has the same hateful attitude.

I've had repeated phone calls from him. He likes to act like the Mafia coming after you to collect a debt he says you owe. He is very rude and obnoxious. I let him get to me and I was rude back.

He seems to be the only person who works at this place, or he plays games and pretends to be the "supervisor" and won't allow you to speak to anyone else. He then "overpowers" anything you try to say, so you can't get a word in edgewise, and then hangs up on you. And yes, they know who you are when you call. The minute your number rings in, it connects to your file on computer.

He is calling me about an account with ADT Security systems. He says I owe for service that was cancelled for non-payment and a broken contract with ADT Security Systems. I closed the checking account associated with their automatic payments and I cancelled the service when I took my home phone out, because it doesn't work without a telephone land line. There are no new signed contracts, since the one I signed in 2001, because I have never seen and only talked to a representative from ADT once since I had the equipment installed eight years ago. I got a letter from someone claiming to be my representative with ADT, who said if I'd renew the contract then (about 5 or more years ago), he would give me a discount on my monthly bill. My new billing was supposed to be $28 a month that year, but I was still charged the whole $33 a month for the entire year! Then, once again, haven't heard from anybody since, until the Apelles monster started calling.
