Debtors' feedback on West Asset Mgmt

Debtors dealing with West Asset Mgmt have talked about their experiences with this CA in our forums. Read through their experiences and get an idea about what it's like dealing with this CA.

How to deal with West Asset Management

If West Asset Management collection agency harasses you for payments and you're not sure whether you owe the money then ask them to validate the debt. If they can prove that you owe the debt, then check the Statute of Limitations (SOL) in your state. If the SOL has expired, the CA cannot sue you for the debt. If you work out an agreement with the CA and default on that agreement, the SOL will restart.

You can also negotiate a settlement of your debt if you can't pay off the balance in full. If you don't feel you can negotiate with the CA on your own, you should seek help from a debt settlement company who'll negotiate on your behalf.

If the debt has already been repaid, and West Asset Mgmt keeps harassing you for payments, send them a Cease and Desist letter. Let them know that you're well aware of the FDCPA, and they should stop all communication with you because the account has already been paid. You can contact West Asset Management at:

West Asset Management, Inc.
2253 Northwest Pkwy SE
Marietta, GA 30067-8764
Phone: (888) 433-2886
Fax: (770) 618-3742

If West Asset will not stop harassing you, file a complaint with the FTC and your state's Attorney General. You can get contact details of the State Attorney General from a listing available in the website of National Association of Attorneys General.

Call the hospital...tell them what is happening. Personally I would cease and desist the collection agency.

More than one incident.. one time a man called my husband a F------ D--- Head! For asking what the call was in regard to..!!! In my case, when inquired where the debt originated, she refused to tell me so I refused to discuss further & hung up..she continually called back 31 times in one half hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have records!!!! So, It can be proven!!!! I saved one voicemail which is unbelievable!!! informed investigator news cast at our local news station- didn't follow up as calls ceased... how this can even happen without legal charges is beyond me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people deserve to be the same during their most vulnerable days!!!!!!!!!!!

Called here repeatedly with hangups when I did not answer. This morning, "Eleanor" called for an unknown person and when questioned, refused to give me company address; she was calling from 281-738-3898. Filed complaint with Texas Attorney General and FTC.

Sub: #6 another phone number west asset mgmt is usingWed, 01/23/2013 - 10:22

972- 471-9012 or nine seven two four seven one nine zero one two. Caller id says "out of area", have also have been receiving about 10-15 calls from what caller id describes as only "out of area" with no phone number listed at all. They have only part of my name. They always call & hang up. This incorrect name was used on medical emergency contact forms for a relative & there is no such person at that number they are calling. Good advice about checking my credit. I think they must have gotten this information from my relative's emergency contact info. This is really scary as it seems my info has been stolen from confidential medical records. And I'll soon find out if i made a mistake of calling them from a friend's cell.

Sub: #8 West Asset Mngmt or RPMMon, 09/19/2011 - 13:03

First thanks for all the info...
I have been getting calls to my cell at a rate of up to 20 a day from 443-550-7976 and 314-627-5652. I called both numbers to get a reference number for my C&D letters. I was greeted with "RPM-Recievable Performance Mngmt". I was under the impression that each number was a seperate company, no so. It would appear that I owe (according to both numbers) the same amount from the same CC to 2 seperate companies. I am sending letters for disclosure and C&D tomorrow.
Has anyone else encountered this?
