I have a judgement on credit report from Arrow Financial. I want to buy a house and need this settled. I called the court and they told me to contact the attorney. They are no longer in business. Arrow Financial's phone number says that they have asked the credit reporting agencies to remove things from them. What do I do to get this off my credit.

If you call Arrow Financial and are lucky enough to get through they have a phine line set up for you to request your satisfaction of judgment that you can get and mail it to the court or show it to whoever you need to. I did this for my sister but beware they sent me a copy of the satisfaction and the court rejected it. If you call demand the original.
Good luck.

Sub: #6 Execution writ ARROW FINANCIAL SERVICES LLCSun, 08/26/2012 - 19:24

Hello, a few members said Arrow Financial is out of business. May i ask how you know that?
I have a judgment against me from arrow financial in 2008, they never contacted me in this regard. Just yesterday however, i received a writ execution against goods letter from the court clerk (collector), saying to pay up within the week. I would like to contact arrow and work something out with them but if they are out of business then what should i do?

Sub: #7 I am in the same exact situationSun, 08/05/2012 - 08:58

I am trying to re-finance and have a judgement that is 2 months away from the SOL. I have been trying to contact Arrow since mid June and have been getting the same recordings that you have, and now just get a message saying that the network is busy and to try my call later. The attorneys (E&A) that filed the judgement are out of business and the company that bought them (MB) is also out of business. Trying to contact the original creditor did me no good as they will not work with me AT ALL.

The court clerk told me the same thing that I have to contact the CA and settle with them. They still have Arrow on file as the CA to contact. My only advice to you is to go to the court and file a MOTION TO VACATE JUDGMENT if you still have time to do this. If you did go to court on this and lost, you have 30 days to appeal. If you have just found out about the judgement against you and you can indeed prove that you did, you have 180 days to file the motion:D. You will have to give an explanation in writing and have some proof for the judge that you just found out about it and he will dismiss the judgment (in most cases). If the "plaintiff" shows up for court they may want to persue the case right then so be prepared to fight the case on the same day.

This should take care of both problems. Can't contact Arrow? Take them to court and have the judgment dismissed. Want it settled? If they show up, at least you will know who you are paying and how to contact them.

Hope this helps.

The attorney that filed my case stated that arrow financial recalled the account back to their office in August of 2008 and that I could only contact them regarding it. They also refused to give me anything in writing stating that they no longer are handling this case. Unfortunately the only thing left to do is contact an attorney and have them take care of it. My hands are tied.

The attorney on record is also out of business! I have done the research on that too, the company that took them over went out of business. They didn't sell it, just gone. The court keeps telling me the same thing, to contact the company that has no valid number!

Sub: #10 Judgments are reported by courtsThu, 06/21/2012 - 12:41

Judgments are not reported by creditors/debt buyers, rather by court clerks. It is totally out of the hands of the plaintiff until a satisfaction of Judgment is filed with the court. Arrow is no longer in business and liquidated their portfolios (sold them). The attorney of record should know who the current owner is, they should have been notified...in any event, the attorney who filed the suit should be able to help you settle/pay.
